If you were looking for news on what was going on in San Francisco tonight after the Giants won the World Series and you were checking mainstream media outlets you may have missed that there’s actually a riot going on. Fortunately for you all of us, everyone in San Francisco is a geek and the riot is being documented live on Twitter and Foursquare.

And let’s not forget, to have a really good riot you’re going to need to be able to find it and of course you’re going to want to know who’s already there. Enter foursquare.

I’d post more but Twitter is actually getting overloaded with the number of #sfriot tweets right now. And yes, these are some of the more humorous posts making light of the situation. According to the reports there are police out everywhere, fires are being started, police cars with assault rifles are being broken into among other, real sorts of rioting things.
