Update: Twitter downtime going on 40+ mins. I’ve definitely confirmed that Twitter is down everywhere which is pretty significant. What would be interesting is that this would be less than a week that Twitter Founder Ev Williams said that “Twitter does not (or will not) have scalability issues.” This may be a hacker taking that claim to heart and issuing a DDoS to bring Twitter down.
Twitter seems to be experiencing a massive outage. Obviously the first thought that comes to mind is that Twitter is under attack again. Back in August Twitter was down for a significant period of time due to a DDoS attack. I’m not sure if that’s happening again, but Twitter has been completely down for at least the past 25 mins.
This isn’t even producing the notorious fail whale, Twitter doesn’t seem to be responding at all, as if someone completely turned the lights out.
